ABOUT the site

 

The site is intended to host my work on many different fields of Photography in which I was involved as an amateur and lover since 1970. Most of my work was not shown ever, since I was dedicated to my profession in clinical dentistry and teaching at the University of Athens, School of Dentistry. Most of my older pictures from 1970s are mainly in slides and negative films but as a lover also of computer technologies, I soon realized that despite the poor quality of images displayed by the computers at the beginning of the computer era in 1980s, at the end image quality would improve and would become available for many people, not just the lovers of photography. Digital photography has given me the opportunity to regain my enthusiasm in Photography, since all the hard work for getting an image with an artistic look,, could be done in a digital darkroom.

My photographs are plain original photos but I prefer to have a second or third alternative look on them just like a song writer or a poet always writes and erases its original tune or poem for a result that pleases him most.

I don't know if my work has the same pleasing effect on you and certainly I am not claiming that my work is the best among today's millions of Photography lovers. I just hope that the exhibited photographs please you even a little and make you to see the photos from the aspect I saw them.
